短短几天的美国之行，我不仅感受了与众不同的美国文化，饱览了以往只能在电视中看到的优美的美洲风景。而且得到了最大的收获：走进美国校园，零距离参与美国学生的校园生活。
第一、美国学校课程设置首先大体说一下，我们所去的亚特兰大国际学校的课时安排。他们一周也是上五天的课，但星期三只上半天的课。这一方面和中国国内区别并不大。但他们一天只有五节课，而每节课持续约一小时或一个半小时。
所以相比之下，每一天，虽然所收获的知识种类，是较少的，但所收获的每类知识的广度，信息量是很多的。比如，他们的一节历史课就可以大致完成国内一周历史课的教学量，即一个专题。
另外，由于每节课持续时间一般都在一个小时之上，所以对学生的注意力也有更高的要求。其实，由于课程都是学生自我选择的，并且课上主要是以讨论为主，所以各位学生都会很high地参与其中，很上见到会有走神的。
其次，就课程的选择而言，他们的课程选择范围很大，也更灵活和丰富。除了常规的语数英物化等基本课程外，还有一些以个人兴趣偏好为主的课程，比如我的buddyaaron就有选修一门叫theater的课程，在这节课上，同学们一起修改剧本，排练话剧，设计戏服。
这一类课程安排和我校的发展课很相像，但相比之下，他们的课时安排更多，学生也更为重视。美国中学生的课程选择完全是由学生自己选择的，并在学期初去教学处领取自己的课程表。
所以，美国的学校并没有固定的行政班，学生每节课都会去不同的教室，和不同的同学一起上课。所以，每节课一下课，我和aaron就会在不同的教室，教学楼之间穿梭。虽然课程的选择范围很广，选择的自由度也很高，但有些课也是必修的，比如数学、科学、英语但在同一类必修课程中也会划分不同的等级，比如数学就划分为easymaths，standardmaths以及highmaths三种。每位学生根据自己的兴趣，以及将来大学专业的方向来选择。老师也会根据各人的成绩高低，提出不同的建议。aaron数学出色，而且他将来打算攻读工程系，所以他选修的就是highmaths。我想，这就是所谓的“因材施教，各取所需”吧。
第三，说一下美国的课程内容。相比国内讲究深度，他们则更讲究广度。aaron是一名十年级生(相当与中国的高一生)，就在我们还在学函数，不等式时，他们已经在学二项式定理，排列组合了。
当然，因为美国教育始终秉承着以学生了解为主的教学理念，老师也不会刻意去讲很深奥的东西，学生们平时更不会有一大堆的辅导书要做。所以，美国学生的基础都是普遍较为薄弱的。比如说，aaron在他们学校已是挺优秀的了，可他在根号运算上仍需我的帮助，他们所谓的难题都主要停留在基础题水平上。但不得不承认，他们的知识面很广，考虑难题也会从不同角度切入，不仅仅是拘泥于标准答案上。比如，有一节数学课上，老师讲完一道题后，就有不少同学举手，抢着说自己有更好的方法。然后是大家各抒己见，快乐的交流。
第四，说一下他们的上课氛围。就从上段末尾的事例可以看出，他们的上课气氛是十分轻松随意的，同学们想到什么就说什么。老师亦是如此，那位历史老师就是喜欢随意的讨论环境，他会开开玩笑，随手泡一壶咖啡。在前面，我也提及过他们上课的形式是以讨论为主。老师抛出一个话题，学生们就开始激烈的辩论，并不断地抛出新的话题。他们彼此驳斥，却也是彼此尊重，场面相当热烈。
由于，他们的班级人数普遍较少(在25人以下)，所以每个学生都有发言陈述自己观点的机会。我去上历史课的时候，他们正在讨immigrants的问题，由于这是一个国际学校，有许多移民，所以大家都有许多话说。从他们的讨论中，我可以看出，他们看待问题都有自己独到的见解，思想也很深邃，处理问题时也很严肃，没有平时的嘻嘻哈哈。
在这种讨论中，学生们锻炼了自己的逻辑思维能力，看待问题、处理问题的能力得到提高，也学会了倾听，学会了尊重。他们很友好，课上也非常想听到我的观点。一开始，我还是比较腼腆，但很快被这种气氛感染了，参与其中，非常融洽。

我们先看这美丽的大峡谷，我走着走着，越向前走越宽，左边的大石头和右边的大石头面对面问好、鞠躬。左边的石头小，右边的石头大。左边的石头有很长很长的的柳条，右边没有。
从后向前走又有两个小石头，这次的大石头左边的石头在前，右边的石头在后，我们必须向左拐个弯，就好像左边的石头是哥哥，右边的石头是弟弟，哥哥在前面走，弟弟在后面追着哥哥。
我们走到了有水的地方，我看见一个很大的石头，石头上有很多的树枝，树枝上有好多绿叶，石头的左边有宽阔的梯子，石头的左边是水，水上生长着很多很多的绿色小草，从远处看就像一个个绿色的小精灵，还有树，从远处看就像一个很大的树整个卧在水面上。
我们从梯子上走到了另一个地方，又看见了两块大石头，这一次是右边的是哥哥，左边的是弟弟，而且小路边的特别的宽了，我们慢慢向前走。
我一直走，还没走到山顶，就看见了两条线，线上有好多像箱子一样的东西，人可以坐上去，可惜我不敢坐，所以我们继续向上走。
不一会儿就到了山顶，我从山顶向下看，哇！好美丽！好高呀！我还看见了一个小亭子跟学校的小亭子很像，这里好美好美呀！要离开了，我还舍不得这里，舍不得这美丽的景物！
